Memorials

LZ Lambeau and the Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories project are about recognizing our Vietnam veterans for their service and their sacrifice. These projects are also about telling their stories, remembering and sharing those stories.

You can either browse through the Memorials below or use the search form to search for a name. You can also post your own Memorial.

Russell Haas

In memory of my brother Russ Haas, that died March 2, 1967. A little of us all died that day. Mom and Dad never really recovered from your death. Dad is with you now. When his time drew near I told him you were waiting for him along with Mary Beth, that it had been along time since he hugged his other children. I know you were both waiting for him with open arms. It has been so long that my memory of you is being on the other side, watching, guilding, sharing our lives. I have not let your memory die with you. You have been part of my children and grandchildren's lives. Because of you and Jim this war has always been be a part of my life. At times I have hated it and at times I am very proud, but I have never stopped missing you, loving you. Nineteen years wasn't enough time.......Love Paula
