Wisconsin's official "Thank You and Welcome Home" to our Vietnam veterans has been called a great success by veterans, family members, and a community honored to host the overdue recognition of those who served in Southeast Asia and during the Vietnam era. An estimated 70,000 people attended over the three days of the LZ Lambeau event - in Wisconsin cities, at Lambeau Field, the Austin Straubel Airport, and at museums around Green Bay. More than 26,000 tickets were dispersed for the special Saturday evening Tribute Ceremony inside Lambeau Field. And despite the rain on Friday, 1,244 motorcycles participated in the Honor Ride, crossing the state from LaCrosse to Lambeau Field in Green Bay in tribute to the 1,244 people from Wisconsin who were killed in action or are still listed as missing in action in the Vietnam War.
